Maple Park Dental required an intelligent lighting control solution that could improve patient comfort, simplify lighting management, and enhance energy efficiency across treatment rooms, offices, and common areas. The goal was to create a modern healthcare environment with responsive lighting control while ensuring seamless operation for both staff and patients. 

To achieve this, Lumos Controls delivered a flexible wireless lighting control ecosystem using Radiar controllers, occupancy sensing solutions, and Bluetooth enabled wall stations.

Challenges 

Healthcare environments require lighting that balances functionality, comfort, and efficiency. Different spaces within the facility experience varying occupancy patterns throughout the day. 

Treatment rooms require reliable lighting performance, while reception and waiting areas benefit from comfortable ambient lighting. Utility spaces and offices often remain unoccupied for extended periods, leading to unnecessary energy usage if lights are left on. 

The client required a lighting control system that could automate operation, reduce energy waste, and provide seamless user control without complex infrastructure. 

Lumos Controls Solution 

Lumos Controls implemented a comprehensive wireless lighting control system tailored to the operational needs of Maple Park Dental. 

• Radiar AF10 – 2 Channel AC Powered 0–10V Fixture Controller 
  Radiar AF10 was deployed across multiple office zones to provide reliable dimming and fixture control. It enabled smooth lighting adjustments and helped optimize brightness levels throughout the day. 
  
  

• WiSilica Enabled Room Controller 
  Installed in key office areas, the room controller provided localized control and seamless communication between devices, ensuring dependable performance across the site. 
   
  

• Omni TED – Trailing Edge Dimmer  
  Integrated for trailing edge dimming, ensuring seamless dimming transitions while improving energy efficiency.  
  
  

• LDCM-Linear Dimming Control Module
  Used alongside Radiar AF10, the LDCM ensured smooth and flicker-free phase dimming for decorative and linear lighting in sensitive spaces such as meeting rooms and corridors 
  
  

• 1 Button Bluetooth Mesh Wall Controller 
  Used for quick scene recall and local overrides in selected spaces. Employees could activate lighting presets with a single press 
  
  

• 4 Button Wireless Wall Controller 
  Installed in conference rooms and shared spaces where multiple scenes were needed such as presentation mode, meeting mode, and general lighting. 
  
  

• Enor E Gateway 
  The Enor E gateway connected all devices into one intelligent network. It enabled scheduling, remote management, and centralized control of the lighting system.
  
  

• Motion Sensor Dimmer Switch 
  Installed in private offices and utility spaces to automate lighting based on occupancy while maintaining user comfort. 
  
  

• Cyrus AP – Wireless PIR Motion & Light Sensor 
  Used in open offices, corridors, and shared areas to automatically turn lights on when spaces were occupied and reduce lighting when vacant. 
  
  

Results 

By implementing Lumos Controls’ intelligent lighting solutions, Maple Park Dental successfully created a modern, energy efficient, and occupant friendly environment.
