Lumos Controls announces the appointment of Benjamin Buchanan as Regional Sales Manager for the Western United States. With more than twenty seven years of experience in the lighting and controls industry, Benjamin brings extensive knowledge of the market along with a strong track record of building successful partnerships across multiple sales channels. 

Throughout his career, Benjamin has worked across contractor, distributor, agent, and manufacturer organizations, giving him a well rounded understanding of how lighting and controls projects move from specification to installation. His experience covers lighting components, fixtures, connected control systems, and energy analytics platforms, along with leadership roles in both growing and established companies. 

Benjamin has held executive positions across several organizations, including serving as Chief Growth Officer at Verdigris and Vice President roles at Daintree, Lightfox, and LA Lighting. He has also served as Chief Executive Officer for multiple distributors, agencies, and value added reseller companies, where he led business expansion, strengthened partner networks, and guided teams through periods of growth. 

At Lumos Controls, Benjamin will focus on expanding the company’s presence across the Western United States, working closely with distributors, contractors, agents and partners to support the adoption of Lumos smart controls solutions. His experience across every level of the channel makes him well suited to support customers from early design stages through project completion.
