Creating a Smarter Workplace Experience at Noddle Companies Office

Background
Noddle Companies Office in Omaha, Nebraska required a modern lighting control solution that could support a productive workplace environment while improving operational efficiency. As a commercial office space with meeting rooms, open work areas, collaborative zones, and circulation spaces, the lighting needed to adapt to different occupancy patterns throughout the day.
The objective was to create a workplace that feels comfortable, efficient, and easy to manage, while reducing unnecessary energy use.

Objectives
- Improve lighting efficiency across office spaces
- Automate lighting based on occupancy and daylight conditions
- Provide simple controls for employees and facility teams
- Support meeting rooms, workstations, and common areas
- Reduce energy consumption and manual operation
Challenges
Office buildings experience changing occupancy throughout the day. Some spaces remain active continuously, while others such as meeting rooms, private offices, and shared zones are used intermittently.
Keeping lights on in unoccupied areas wastes energy, while poor lighting control can impact comfort and productivity. The client needed a solution that could respond automatically, while still allowing staff to make quick adjustments when required.
Solutions

Radiar AF10 was deployed across multiple office zones to provide reliable dimming and fixture control. It enabled smooth lighting adjustments and helped optimize brightness levels throughout the day.
- WiSilica Enabled Room Controller
Installed in key office areas, the room controller provided localized control and seamless communication between devices, ensuring dependable performance across the site.
- 1 Button Bluetooth Mesh Wall Controller
Used for quick scene recall and local overrides in selected spaces. Employees could activate lighting presets with a single press
- 4 Button Wireless Wall Controller
Installed in conference rooms and shared spaces where multiple scenes were needed such as presentation mode, meeting mode, and general lighting.
- Wireless AC Powered 8 Button Switch
Provided expanded scene control for larger meeting rooms and multi-use areas requiring flexible lighting management.
- Enor E Gateway
The Enor E gateway connected all devices into one intelligent network. It enabled scheduling, remote management, and centralized control of the lighting system.
- Samsung Tablet Tab A8
Used as a user-friendly control interface for facility teams, allowing convenient access to lighting controls, schedules, and monitoring.
- Motion Sensor Dimmer Switch
Installed in private offices and utility spaces to automate lighting based on occupancy while maintaining user comfort.
- Cyrus AP – Wireless PIR Motion & Light Sensor
Used in open offices, corridors, and shared areas to automatically turn lights on when spaces were occupied and reduce lighting when vacant.
Results
The Noddle Companies Office now benefits from a smarter and more responsive lighting environment. Occupancy-based automation helps reduce wasted energy, while intuitive controls make lighting adjustments simple for users.
Meeting rooms, collaborative areas, and workspaces each receive the right lighting for their purpose. The result is a more comfortable workplace with lower operating costs and improved day-to-day efficiency.
